Melba Morris and Brian Sieminski of Walz Tetrick Advertising (WTA) were individually recognized last night at the 2016 Media Mix Awards, taking home awards in their respective categories of Agency Media Buyer of the Year and Agency Support Professional of the Year.
KC Media Mix is a not-for-profit organization committed to serving Kansas City’s media buyers, planners and sellers. The organization promotes the highest professional standards, providing leadership for those entering the field and serving as a primary channel for networking within in the media community.
Morris, Broadcast Media Buying Director, WTA, has now received seven Media Mix Awards during her tenure at the agency.
“It’s always encouraging to be honored by our peers,” said Morris. “Especially when they’re as talented as this group. I’ve worked with many of these people since my early years in the business. We’ve come a long way together.”
Sieminski, Associate Media Research Analyst, WTA, brought home his first Media Mix award this year and says he was humbled by the entire experience.
“It’s an incredible honor to receive this award,” said Sieminski, “and an even greater honor to be a part of this agency and media community. I’m privileged to have an incredible group of mentors and industry visionaries who influence me every day.”
Walz Tetrick Advertising has been planning and buying media from its headquarters in Kansas City for almost 50 years. Agency president and CEO, Charlie Tetrick, attributes the agency’s staying power to its start-up power.
“We were once a start-up, way back in 1967,” said Tetrick, “and we still approach every client and project with the same freshness and innovation. Melba and Brian are great examples of this culture, and it’s a pleasure to see them recognized for their excellence and hard work.”
