Mission, Kan. (April 1, 2015) Walz Tetrick Advertising and client 4INFO, a technology company solving the challenges of mobile attribution for national brand advertisers, took home AMBIT gold and “Most Innovative” overall at the KC Direct Marketing Association (KCDMA) awards show held last night.
The KCDMA AMBIT Awards recognizes the best direct marketing in Kansas City, awarding those who demonstrate excellence in technical innovation, social marketing, print, mobile, digital and traditional mediums.
“We like the AMBITS because they reward what we set out to do for every client: drive results that achieve their business goals,” said Jeff Chase, creative director, Walz Tetrick Advertising. “Our agency positioning is to approach every client challenge from the innovative perspective of a start-up, so the “Most Innovative” designation is particularly gratifying to us.”
“4INFO is a client that understands the importance of trying new things to achieve new results,” said Shannon Bassett, account supervisor. “Our collaboration with them is a true partnership, and we share this award with them.”
The winning direct marketing campaign was developed to solve the challenge of securing face-to-face meetings with high-value ad agency media planners and corporate brand managers.
The series began with a mysterious package containing a fully activated smartphone. The recipient was instructed to answer the phone when it rang to receive important information that would change the way they did business. A four-part series of attention-getting touch points was staggered to allow 4INFO sales reps to follow-up between mailings and scrub the list. The final incentive offered to trade the smartphone for an iPad Mini, a valuable motivator to schedule the desired face-to-face meeting.
Of the 274 prospects who received a phone, 4INFO reached 94, a lead-generation rate of nearly 34%. 77 of those reached scheduled a face-to-face sales presentation, achieving overall lead acquisition of 28%. After reaching the prospect by phone, the success rate for booking a meeting was 82%, bringing nearly $2 million of mobile media into the sales pipeline.
“We’re constantly assessing value and return for everything we do as an agency,” said Chase. “Even with awards shows. We submitted one entry to the AMBITS this year. It won two awards. Now that’s ROI.”
